Eight Charts, One Market Message: What Tesla, Palantir, Coinbase, Strategy, Bitcoin and Ethereum Are Signalling Now

The Market Is Improving, but Confirmation Still Matters: Tesla, Palantir, Bitcoin, AI Infrastructure and the Next Risk-On Test

Markets are entering a phase where confirmation matters more than prediction. Across Tesla, Palantir, Coinbase, Strategy, Cipher Digital, IREN, Bitcoin and Ethereum, the same pattern is emerging: support is holding, fundamentals in several cases are improving, but major resistance has not yet been decisively conquered.

Tesla remains technically constructive above roughly US$340 to US$353, while approximately US$378 is the key breakout test. Its operating picture has also improved, with stronger vehicle deliveries and revenue growth, but the valuation increasingly depends on more than electric vehicles. Energy, autonomy, artificial intelligence and robotics are becoming central to the long-term thesis, which also means regulatory and execution risks matter more.

Palantir arguably has one of the strongest fundamental profiles in the group. Its latest quarterly revenue rose about 93% year over year, while U.S. commercial growth remained exceptionally strong. However, extraordinary growth is already reflected in extraordinary expectations. Technically, approximately US$171 remains important support and US$188 is the level that would strengthen the case for renewed price discovery. A great business can still become an expensive stock, particularly when bond yields remain elevated.

Coinbase is attempting to stabilise around US$180 to US$184, with US$189 acting as near-term resistance. Its business is increasingly diversified across subscription services, stablecoins and institutional activity, but crypto-market liquidity and trading volumes remain important earnings drivers. Strategy is even more directly tied to Bitcoin. With more than 845,000 BTC reported on its balance sheet as of late August 2026, MSTR should be understood less as a conventional software stock and more as a leveraged corporate-finance vehicle built around Bitcoin exposure.

Cipher Digital and IREN represent another major theme: the convergence of crypto infrastructure and artificial intelligence. Both companies are increasingly redeploying energy-intensive infrastructure toward high-performance computing and AI data centres. Their access to power, land, grid connections and large-scale data-centre capacity may become increasingly valuable as AI-related electricity demand expands. However, construction costs, financing, customer concentration and execution remain material risks. Contracted capacity is not the same as realised cash flow.

Bitcoin itself is testing one of the most important levels in the entire market. Approximately US$78,000 remains a key support region, while US$80,000 to US$80,500 is the immediate resistance zone. A durable breakout could bring the approximately US$87,000 area back into focus. Ethereum faces a similar technical battle between roughly US$2,400 support and US$2,530 to US$2,550 resistance.

The broader conclusion is that this is not yet a market of indiscriminate risk-taking. Investors are selectively rebuilding exposure while weighing AI capital expenditure, crypto liquidity, corporate earnings and higher interest rates. That is consistent with an environment in which risk appetite is improving, but financial conditions remain restrictive enough to demand evidence.

Technical analysis can help identify decision zones, but it cannot guarantee outcomes. Academic research suggests that trend, momentum and moving-average rules can contain information, while also warning about data mining, transaction costs and changing market regimes (Brock et al., 1992; Lo et al., 2000; Park & Irwin, 2007).

The strongest bullish signal would be multiple assets simultaneously converting current resistance into durable support.

The charts are improving. Several businesses are executing well. The AI and crypto infrastructure themes remain powerful.

But the next leg higher still has to be earned through confirmation.
